UK press was banned from publishing pictures of naked Prince Harry by the royal family. The royal family lawyers threatened legal action and St James’s Palace warned that the pictures were a gross invasion of the young royal’s privacy.
The pictures were released online by TMZ on Wednesday and no British TV station or newspaper touched it until The Sun defied all warnings and published the photos on their cover yesterday, saying it was ridiculous to be banned from publishing a photo over 70 million people have already seen.

What was he thinking in the first place going naked?

Storm Isaac which this morning, rolled over the Gulf of Mexico toward Louisiana, has left 24 dead in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Isaac, though not as powerful as Hurricane Katrina when it struck on Aug. 29, 2005, has destroyed several properties in the Carribean islands.
Worst hit is Haiti, given that it is still recovering from the deadly earthquake that mostly flattened Port-au-Prince in January 2010, leaving thousands of Haitians still living in tents.

These storms and their names...May God have mercy upon us all

There are reports that the price of bread would be increased as from 1st September, 2012, following the increment of price of flour and other ingredients.
This is as a result of the high tariff introduced on wheat flour in a bid to encourage bakers to use cassava flour in the manufacture of bread.

Meanwhile, the bakers are saying they cannot commence the use of cassava flour since the government has not put adequate machinery in place to ensure the success of the innovation. The machinery available is meant for wheat based bread and not cassava bread.

This is completely awkward because it is the poor people that will suffer at the end of the day..not every citizen would consider going for the portable sliced bread..and for the records most of us including me are used to the "AGEGE BREAD THINGY"...at an affordable price i must say

What exactly is going on at the helm of affairs of this country?

A Victorian man has been sentenced to jail for creating an offensive Facebook page.
David McRory, 22, pleaded guilty in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court yesterday to using a carriage service to offend and publish objectionable material online. The court heard McRory and a friend, Joshua Turner, 22, started a Facebook page that rated the sexual performance of Central Victorian based women.
Turner was given a wholly suspended six-month prison sentence and was also banned from using Facebook for two years.

Do you know that free condoms were distributed at the Osun Oshogbo festival this year, am sure most youths were present to get their portion...its actually not a bad idea but the irony is that a stand was in place to also check your status...HIV...So, what exactly is the message, perhaps if those condoms didnt fulfill its work at the end of the day..

The initiative, aimed at checking the spread of the disease during the festival, would ensure to a barest minimum that uninfected people are prevented from contracting the virus.

I just hope the wrong message was not passed across with the free condom collection

Prezzo, the first Kenyan representative to get to the finals in the Big Brother Africa reality show, is the new ‘One Campaign’ Ambassador. Prezzo will work on various campaigns with Bono, Mary J Blige, Nas and other Showbiz personalities in an effort to alleviate hunger in Africa and fight extreme poverty.

I am not sure if he came to spread the One campaign song, apologize to the Nigerians or make up with Goldie...However, Prezzo is definitely not in many Nigerians’ good books. Nigerians were outraged at Prezzo’s lovedrama with the nation’s representative, Goldie, and the backstabbing involved.

Perhaps he actually feels a thing for Goldie and decided to take a step by saying sorry to everyone but its just a game..i actually do not know who was fooling...

Award-winning musician, Seun Kuti, who is the grandson of Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, one of the Icons whose picture has been approved to appear on the proposed N5,000 note, said that his grandmother would not approve of the image if she were still alive...

According to him, in his own view he said the Federal Government did not officially inform the Kuti family of the intended action “It was through the radio that we got to know that her face would be used…we were not officially contacted.”

That note cannot solve Nigeria’s problems, the government should learn to invest in people…the Kuti family is more concerned about the development of the country not the naira. If I were the FG, I would establish more schools, improve on the educational system rather than come up with N5000 note idea.”

I stand as a support to what Seun says...and thank God, its been suspended for now, as some deliberations are on in relation to the economic aspect of introducing the so called currency..

Its no longer news that May D has packed his luggages from the Square Records but what really happened, How long was the contract, did he offend the gods of Square..?..its just a surprise, following the rapid growth of his featured work, Chop My Money, which also featured Akon...

A press statement from Square Records boss Jude Okoye released reads:
I, JUDE ‘ENGEES’ OKOYE of Square Records Limited and Northside Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr. Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences. We at Northside and Square records wish him all the best in his career and life.

There is an explanation for this but i hope some cash will be heading to his account every time that song is sold...

What exactly is happening to Dbanj, ever since his movement to the GOOD People, i am yet to certify a development in his career..First, it was OYATO, that seem unlike a Dbanj that we all know in Naija, now its an awful delivery in KUKERE Remix...I think the song is good enough to be remixed but should have been done on a better collaboration, what happened to likes of Omawunmi, Chidinma of Project Fame, Naeto C or even Flavour...These are guys who have a similar feel of the song, this is evident in their own albums...and for the records, Dbanj is a total entertainer and performer but not a good lyricist...Our Artistes need to understand their music very well sometimes...

I guess it wont be a surprise when we hear of any investment in our Oil, since Ricky has tweeted while shooting his ‘Hold me back’ alternate video in Lagos, Nigeria. Ross, obviously interested in what he saw posted pictures of oil process base ships which were situated not far from shore...Hey, its all about the dollar bill i say

Uche Okwuoha was once a wheelbarrow pusher, bus conductor and tout. His shelter was under the bridge. Education for him seemed far-fetched, but now he is a Law student at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
The indigene of Imo State scored the highest mark in the Obafemi Awolowo Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in the 2010/2011 academic session. He had the highest score of 320 (out of 400) and he is presently a student in the institution’s Faculty of Law.
The young chap took his time to prepare for the examination and attained the height of excellence he targeted.

Nigeria is a blessed country with abundant talent..but yet our government cannot tap into this and create a good room for our youths to grow through the basic  infrastructures...a friend of mine who saw it says some people do carry out illegal steps to pass an examination in Naija, which am quite aware of but this occurs because the environment is not well condusive for our youths to grow.

Education is key but talent is greater...help our youths

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the compilation of the names of holders of national honours awards who had been convicted or were facing trial for criminal offences.

The office of the SGF has been mandated to find out the names of those who were indicted and have national honours, the directive was preparatory to having the honours withdrawn from such awardees.
In view of this, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru (former Managing Director of Oceanic Bank Plc), Mr. Erastus Akingbola (ex-MD of Intercontinental Bank), Chief Bode George (chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party),Tafa Balogun (former Inspector-General of Police) and other indicted public office holders would lose their national honour.

My question is....what is the precise criteria in giving out the national honours, is it wealth, investment or contract basis? What about those that died for the country, sport heroes and great achievers...The right thing should be done at all times, that is why we have special advisers all around Mr President...

I wonder how we think in this part of the world, by hanging on a moving train..i think its in the movies i see such and definitely not as a luxury but a rescue or run for your life thingy...but in Naija, its done to avoid paying a fair...of how much?...its completely weird.

The Nigeria Railway Corporation has said that, Illegal passengers caught hanging or sitting on train coach risk trial for attempted suicide and imprisonment.
There is a five-year-old law that prohibits anybody from hanging and standing on train coaches; it allows their arrest and prosecution. About 23 of those arrested are being tried for attempted suicide because what they did was suicidal.

Orji was arrested in February 1999 by the police under the bridge along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway. He was subsequently charged before an Ebute-Meta Magistrate’s Court on 19 February but was never tried...

I guess most Lagosians or Nigerians as a whole would be thankful considering the pain he caused to the peaceful existence of most residents during his 'regime'...Well, i say rest in peace Clifford...Alleged cannibal and 12 years inmate of Kirikiri Maximum Prison.

It was however gathered that Orji’s health deteriorated due to the refusal of psychiatric hospitals to take him in...As for those of you out there that still eat human parts, think twice but is it really that sweet...i guess not ?

Whenever you visit most public Lagos beaches, you find all sort of people there either residing, transacting business or conducting a spiritual ceremony but how prepared are they for any natural disaster via ocean surges and flooding...in essence, it is very important for the state government to take proper measures by preserving the beach for tourism...

Recently, one person has been confirmed dead and fifteen others missing in an ocean surge today sacked communities around Kuramo Beach in Lagos Nigeria.
Reportedly, the incident occurred at about 2 a.m. when residents were asleep, adding that those affected were mainly people occupying illegal shanties at the beach front.
There is still on a frantic search for about 15 people still missing. The entire area has been cordoned off and  residents have been asked to vacate immediately.

It's been two years since Sylvester Stallone graced the big screen with a motley crew of action stars but this week they are back - with a few notable additions to the cast list.
Right lets get one thing straight right now if you accept this movie for what it is, over the top macho action with some great nostalgic nods to the past, then you will have a great time.
If however you are expecting a movie that is meaningful and deep with plenty of character development then perhaps this isn't for you.

When Mr. Church (Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries.
But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them

The movie is as deep as a puddle and the plot is almost nonexistent but it is so much from start to finish that you can't help but get swept along in it all.
But of course with a movie like this the action scenes are what make it so good and the opening sequence and the scenes in the airport towards the end are a major highlight - not to mention Stallone taking on Van Damme is a bit of a treat.
Stallone, Statham, Lundgren, Terry Crews and Randy Couture are all back and the chemistry between the central Expendables really makes this movie what it is.

This is a surprise to me considering the other nominees listed in this category, such as Ini edo, Okechukwu ‘OC’ Ukeje, Ivie Okujaye and Gideon Okeke...And yet, expectations were high at the 2012 edition of the annual The Future Awards which took place in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

I stand to say that the Future Awards is not what i knew it to be judging from its first three editions where the nominees were properly selected and judged..and it was deserving for any of the winners...it is a different game now and not just the future awards, so many awards in Nigeria now do the "back door game"

Cynthia, the victim in the BlackBerry murder case, was allegedly drugged, raped, robbed and beaten to death by suspects, Nwabuzo Okumo and his accomplice Odera Ezekiel. The suspects, cousins, admitted to having drugged, raped and robbed four other victims in the past, but the fifth, Cynthia Osokogu, is their first murder they claim....Rest in Peace Cynthia

Its a great pleasure to know that Nollywood is heading somewhere... by going into a 3D movie and i wont say we are far behind but no sweats at all because its a good step in the right direction...
The dynamic producers of the movie ‘Mystery Beads’ have chosen to do something different and perhaps extraordinary when they decided to shoot the movie in 3D, a first of its kind in the Nigerian movie industry.
Mystery Bead is a paranormal movie with a deep storyline and twist. A movie which could come across to a person as an epic but has a beautiful mix or use of modern technology in it. It tells the story of Adidi Ata Ebua, a fictitious creation of the producer and Atim Okpo Ebot, a female water goddess and a he-goat at the same time.

I want to appreciate all our telecom networks so far for trying their possible best to provide optimum services in NIGERIA but a recent worry for me is the rising rate at which certain customers now send random text messages across the country via some mobile social message forum...most of which are just a false alarm..

The free text messages should stop and am sure there is a way to checkmate such messages from going round the country...it is immature of us as a people and having no regard for the private life of every citizen, moreso, have we thought about hypertensive persons when sending such traumatic messages.

And to the idle youths of this nation, please get busy with meaningful and inspiring things in life...

I actually saw this coming...like our usual tradition in this country, whenever a damage occurs at one sector, a panel is set up backed up with so much budget that includes food, money and other bills, to debate over what happened...And so, Following our terribly poor performance at the London Olympics, President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered comprehensive re-organisation of the Nigerian sporting sector. This might result in some people losing their jobs.

According to the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, a national retreat which will involve state governments as well as the private sector to re-order priorities in the Nigerian sporting sector would be convened to address the challenges in the sporting sector.

“He said what took place in London must be the beginning of a new momentum to place Nigerian sports at a level that will enable this country return to the glory it is known for in the areas of sports.
“President Jonathan believes for us to change the present scenario, we need to specialize, we need to plan and we need to fund sports in a way that this country will continue to make impact in the sporting sector.”

This is completely unbelievable...Are they saying they are not aware before now that our sports needs to be dealt with...?

Lagos, the most populous city in Nigeria has been ranked as the third worst liveable city in the world by The Economist Intelligence Unit!
Dhaka, Bangladesh was ranked the worst liveable city,  followed by Port Moresby and then Lagos, Nigeria. Melbourne, Australia was rated the city with the best living conditions, followed by Vienna, Austria and Vancouver, Canada ranked third.

Cities were scored on political and social stability, crime rates and access to quality healthcare. It also measures the diversity and standard of cultural events and the natural environment; education (school and university); and the standard of infrastructure, including public transport.

This image shows you the former Oshodi in Lagos but it is a different anthem today as the present Governor has done a lot to keep the center of excellence conducive for all. i quite agree with the terms and condition of the ranking because we are still trying to find our feet when it comes to a complete social condition for all residents.

Anyways, like we say now...Eko Oni Baje

Hollywood actor, Robert Downey Jr. injured his ankle on the set of the movie, ‘Iron Man 3′ today. He was reportedly performing a stunt and hurt himself in the process. Marvin Studios has announced that this will force a brief delay in production.

The film has been in production since late May, and the accident occurred in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Downey has injured his ankle trying to impress his audience! We are relieved that the injury isn’t a lot worse than it could have been. This implies that the actors and the crew have an unexpected week off since his character can’t be limping around as Iron Man.

Hey...Quick recovery Robert but i wonder what kind of injury occurs during an intensive Chinese film?

Chelsea Clinton may follow in her parents' footsteps after all. After years of shooting down rumors that she may run for office, the 32-year-old Clinton left the door open to having another Clinton on the electoral ballots.

"Historically I deliberately tried to lead a private life in the public eye," she said. "And now I am trying to lead a purposefully public life."
The only daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said people have been pestering her about running for office her entire life.
"It was something I had thought a lot about because people have been asking me that my whole life," Clinton said. "Even during my father's 1984 gubernatorial campaign, it was, 'Do you want to grow up and be governor one day?' No. I am four."

At her age, Bill Clinton already held public office, serving as Arkansas attorney general from age 31. But it was not until age 54 that her mom first stepped into elected office as a U.S. senator.

Football stars, Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema have been roped into a court case for allegedly having sex with an underage prostitute.  In France, prostitution with persons under 18 years is illegal. If found guilty Ribery and Benzema could face three years in prison or a £35,000 fine.

The court case began in 2010 when Zahia Dehar, the prostitute, claimed Real Madrid striker Benzema paid for sex with her in 2008, when she was 16. Dehar also alleged Ribery flew her to Munich for sex a year later.

Prosecutors requested in November last year that the case against Ribery and Benzema, who have repeatedly denied the charges, be dropped because they were unaware that Dehar was underage.
Dehar, now 20 years old has become a celebrity in France since the story broke. She however, has admitted both players did not know her age at the time of the alleged meetings.

This is unbelievable...prostitution is completely frowned at in some parts of the world, yet, there are some underage girls involved in it...and i presume the wives of these football stars are very beautiful...

I will continue to campaign against child abuse because there is no need of disturbing the peace of God for children, if your mission is to abuse them; physically, spiritually or sexually...What goes around comes around and more so, they have a life of their own.

A Nigerian couple in the UK, Joseph and Gloria Musa have each been sentenced to seven years in jail on charges of child abuse. They were accused of beating their children with brooms and other objects, leaving scars on their bodies.

This case started in April 2010 when their five children were taken away from their custody on grounds of child abuse. This happened after their nine year-old daughter threw a heart-wrenching SOS note out of a window. The reported content of the note read:
“My mum is the worst mum ever because she can’t cope with five of us, her broken hand and being pregnant. She always leaves me out so I always starve and I am forced to work. If I don’t get enough house work done, I am beaten without mercy with the wooden end of a broom. I have scars all over me to prove it. I can’t stay here. I would like a new mum.”

Please, children are not born for any abuse but they also have a mission in life...

Its no longer news that star actress, Genevieve Nnaji is presently an ambassador for one of the most driven cars around the country now, Range Rover Sport...and that comes with some cool cash.

Now, she has fully stormed the Hollywood Studios as she was seen on a movie set with Nigerian-British actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor. Remember the handsome black guy with the full hair in the movie ‘Salt’ and ’2012′?

The international production for the movie titled ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’ features actors from three continents in starring roles. The movie cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Genevieve Nnaji, Anika Noni Rose, Zack Orji, Joseph Mawle and John Boyega. It was completely shot in Tinapa Studios in Calabar, Cross River State, with mostly Nigerian crew, who got the experience of working on the full scale, high budget feature film production.

The film is based on Chimamanda Adichie’s novel about Biafra’s struggle to establish an independent republic in Nigeria. Andrea Calderwood and Gail Egan are the producers of the feature debut of the Nigerian theatre director, playwright and novelist, Biyi Bandele, while the executive producers are Yewande Sadiku and Mukhtar Bakare.

I say congrats and keep climbing the fame ladder but remember to give back to the society in which you were discovered...nothing is too small and am not talking about cash now...

Yes...he was absolutely the special one, even though am not so crazy about the round leather game but i know that Jose Mourinho has got some cool experience about coaching and that is why it has yield great results for him across Europe...and so, now, he wants to be addressed as the only one...i do agree with him.

Real Madrid’s Portuguese Manager, Jose Mourinho was quoted to have said “Thanks to God, things have gone well and, whether you like it or not, I am the only one who has won the English, Italian and Spanish championships. So, more than the ‘Special One’, they must begin to call me the ‘Only One’.”
Jose Mourinho didn’t even ask to be called the Only One because of his achievements with his home club, FC Porto. Maybe pride, Maybe not. Jose Mourinho has actually done what no other has done.

I know there are other great coaches out there...but confidence is the strategy here, if you have it, flaunt it

In Plateau state, it has been raining heavily for three days causing rivers to swell and streams to overflow.
The flood washed away homesteads, bridges, farmlands and livestock.  Over 1,000 families in Southern Plateau have been rendered homeless. The Shendam bridge gave way yesterday morning complicating the situation by cutting off access to the affected areas and the link between Plateau State and neighbouring Nasarawa and Taraba States.

Among those stranded in Shendam town were NEMA officials, who had visited the town on Monday to distribute relief materials to victims of early floods in Wase, Langtang and Shendam. Since the NEMA officials are also stranded, we can be sure a rescue team would soon arrive.
The flood has been described as the worst Plateau state has experienced in 50 years.

This is a time our government needs to sit up and face crucial matters than coming up with a 5000 naira note...

Talia Hayward, Zambia’s representative in the just concluded Big Brother Africa Stargame show, has apologized to her fans for her public fornication with fellow housemate and winner, Keagan.
In the 90 days the show lasted, Talia dated two men – Seydou and Keagan. At some point, she was confused about her affections for the two guys. However, in the last few days in the house, she decided to choose Keagan over Seydou.

She had sex with Keagan on live TV and looking back, she feels she didn’t represent Zambia well. Talia said it was overwhelming for her while in the house and it was difficult to control certain emotions.
Talia said at a media briefing that society should not be too quick to judge her for the ‘sins’ she might have committed while participating on the show.
“I would like to apologize to my fans and society for the activities that happened in the house. It is difficult to be in the house, there is too much pressure especially that there are a lot of people from different backgrounds and culture and in a small space,” she said.

This is totally unaccepted because Lady May was also in the house...and its just a game. The damage has been done and generations after can view every dirty detail she did...I guess it will take an experienced Public Relations outfit to rebrand her carve a new image for her...all the best

The much awaited May/June 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result has been released by the examination body...
The result has shown positive increase of about 8%  from last year’s performance.
out of the 1,672,224 candidates that sat for the examination, 649,156 representing 38.81percent obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics, which is an increase of about 8% to the 30.91percent recorded in 2011
Meanwhile, a total of 122,000 candidates, representing 6.70percent were being withheld in connection with cases of examination malpractices which are being investigated.

Its very sad when people take lives of their fellow being just for no reason, why not handle such persons to the precise authorities in charge...in this case, a modem...totally absurd

Solomon Onyeoghani a 300-Level student of the Department of Business Education, Delta State University, Abraka, was on Friday allegedly stabbed to death with a broken bottle by a suspected cult member, Chukwuka Kelubia.
Kelubia, 29, accused the deceased of stealing his internet modem.
The suspect was said to have hidden close to the victim’s house and pounced on him while he was going to his mother’s shop, stabbing him many times in the neck.
It was also learnt that Kelubia, a student of Auchi Polytechnic, had last Tuesday accused Solomon of stealing his internet modem, an allegation the deceased denied.

Kenya wants to be the first African nation to host the Olympic Games! Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said the capital city of Nairobi is preparing a bid to stage Africa’s first Olympic Games in 2024.
Odinga, a retired footballer and sports lover, said he believed Kenya had what it took to host the event in 2024 and has therefore announced that the Republic of Kenya will be starting the process of pitching to host the Games of the 33rd Olympiad.

Cairo, Egypt had years ago, bidded for 2008 Olympics Games but lost to Beijing, China while the Cape Town, South Africa made a bid for the 2004 Games which they also lost to Athens in Greece.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is set to commence the official bid process for the 2024 Games in 2015, with a host city selected two years later.

Anyways, its a great move...Nigeria should not think about hosting the Olympics for now...if you know what i mean

Do we really value the lives of the citizens of this nation? because if other social amenities are not really in place or in good condition, the life of every person born of this soil should be of concern to our leaders...This is a wake up call to the Government concerning a major route, the Lagos Ibadan expressway...A commercial motorcyclist was on Monday stabbed in the stomach by two hoodlums suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on the long bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have been named the highest-earning couple in show business by Forbes. They pulled in a huge $78 million in joint earnings over the last 12 months.  Beyonce reportedly made more money than her husband by pulling in an estimated $40 million from sponsorship deals, album sales and royalties from her back catalogue, while Jay-Z is said to have made $38 million.
Meanwhile, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her American football star husband Tom Brady, who were number one last year, have been moved to second position.
David and Victoria Beckham came in third place with $54 million ahead of Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with $48 million and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith with $40 million.

Honestly, generations after them are totally in good condition, if and when these profits are well managed...

It is with great joy for most of the participants at the London 2012 Olympics as they were welcomed home by their citizens, even a bronze medalist from Afghanistan was not left out of such moment...and i thought about Nigeria's Dream team..a team with no medals..what a record but can we learn from this?...the answer is simply NO.
I say congratulations to China, Sudan, Great Britain, Jamaica for their spectacular performance at the games. My simple message to the Authorities in charge is to go to God in prayer and ask for forgiveness on behalf of the entire nation because winning laurels is not about how Godly you are but hardwork and commitment at what you know how to do...It is a total shame that some elders are even amazed and it is now a joke around town..God help our nation

Dearest readers of this blog, i thank you for your regular follow up on this blog and i believe you enjoy what you see. I do apologize for being off line these past days, it was due to some logistics beyond my control but am back for good.keep reading and get inspired.God bless you all

Chuks Collins is the unique man behind Kholyns contemporary couture and with years of experience...watch out for his story and the journey so far in the fashion industry

This is a personal memo to the Make believe industry known as Nollywood, and this concerns the welfare of its practitioners...Is there any prepared plan for all its members incase of emergencies...because i find it awkward that some are swimming in the financial pool of cash while others are going through the needle eye to feed..

Hope you remember this Yoruba actor, Ahmed Oduola, popularly called Dento? Sadly,  Dento breathed his last on Monday after a prolonged battle with illness.
His remains were on Tuesday committed to mother earth in Owode Academy area of Ibadan, Oyo State according to muslim rites.

I have no clue to what killed him but the industry should endeavor to have foundation for the less fortunate stars among them, than having shows worth a million naira per table... R.I.P DENTO

A woman identified simply as Iya Anu who resides at 8, Amosu Street, Ijegun, Lagos, allegedly beat her foster son, Seubow, to death for allegedly stealing N50.
It all started when Seubow misplaced a N1, 000 note given to him for an errand.
She has starved the teenager throughout Saturday. When he could no longer bear the hunger, he sneaked out of the house at night to buy Gala.
When Iya Anu got to know about it, she became furious, accused him of stealing her N50 and gave the teenager the beating of his life.
It was gathered that she began to beat him on Saturday night. The beating continued till he gave up the ghost about noon. When she realised that the boy had lost consciousness, she cried for help but it was already late.

This is crying over split milk..in this age and time where many will do anything to have a child, someone somewhere feels she needs to edge her child out of existence...May God have mercy on us all

My friends will be surprised reading this post concerning the English football league as they know am not too crazy about the round leather game but...As you know, It’s been 3-months since English football went on the annual end-of-season break. During this period there has been some big transfers amongst the Premier league teams.

Manchester United have added 2 major players to their squad for the upcoming season. They are South Korean, Shinji Kagawa who has already signed his name by scoring the only goal in one of the teams pre-season games and also 18-year old English man, Nick Powell. The team would bank on this additions and hopefully more (There are rumours on one or two more possible additions to the squad) and also the return to action of the Team captain, Nemanja Vidic (who got injured in the 1st half of last season and had to watch the rest of the season from the sidelines) to challenge for the trophy in the coming season.

The Blue boys from London shocked the continent last season when they ended the season as Champions league winners. The team had a bad start to their season which saw the entrance and end of an era for Andre Villas Boas in Chelsea.

August 18, 2012 is the kick off  for one of the most entertaining league games across the world...so, be on the look out and do not miss out on the action, skills, goals and drama

"The Dark Knight Rises" led the box office for the third-straight weekend, pulling in $35.7 million to raise its domestic total to $353.9 million...These guys are just awesome with the way their movies roll in cash but i wont say my brothers back home are not trying because they have lots of challenges...they should put resources together and produce world class films..For instance, Universal studios is very big in terms of capital and production but it sometimes goes in conjuction with other production outfits just to bring out the best...why they do that, i do not know...

DreamWorks Animation and Chinese partners announced plans Tuesday to co-produce the next "Kung Fu Panda" movie and develop an entertainment district in Shanghai, expanding Hollywood's fast-growing ties to China.
Hollywood studios have announced a flurry of deals with local partners to gain access to Chinese financing and a government-controlled film market that is growing strongly at a time of weak ticket sales in the United States and Europe.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" will be produced in China and released in 2016, according to DreamWorks Animation SKG Ltd. and its state-owned local partners — China Media Capital, Shanghai Media Group and Shanghai Alliance Investment.

What is going on between US Secretary of State and Africa..first it was Egyptians throwing tomatoes at her, now, According to Daily Mail, Hillary Clinton and her security agents were driven onto a plane and out of Malawi after being attacked by a swarm of bees today. Mrs Clinton ran for cover and boarded her jet before flying out of Kamuzu International Airport in the capital, Lilongwe, to Johannesburg, South Africa.

She is meant to visit Nigeria soon again and i pray she wont be attacked by.......you can fill the spaces because the options are so much that i cant begin to mention

Islamic sect, Boko Haram, in a broadcast on Saturday, asked President Jonathan to either resign or change to Islam before it could lay down its arms against the country.
However, President Goodluck gave a reply on Sunday saying he would neither resign nor convert to Islam as a condition to ceasefire.

“The President cannot be intimidated by any group or individual. The President will never resign. He has the mandate of Nigerians to serve his father land and nobody should imagine that he will succumb to blackmail,” Abati told journalists in Abuja.

I don't believe this is the headway for Nigeria and i believe Mr President is guided by so many advisers...and so, they should think on his behalf and do the right thing at every strategic point of ruling this country...

In its continual campaign towards a better and serene Lagos, Governor Babatunde Fashola has banned touts from operating at motor parks in Lagos...it is a welcomed development as expressed by some Lagosians but is there provision for all these young men who rely solely on the financial benefit of chasing buses at several bus stops.

At least, the humiliation faced by these bus drivers and their conductors will stop...but this is where a good government rises and provides a good social welfare programme for all these guys because they are part of us no matter what...we are all Nigerians

In order to effectively enforce the new traffic laws in Lagos state, officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) are being empowered to administer breathalyzers on drivers to detect their drunkenness. A breathalyzer is a device for estimating blood alcohol content (BAC) from a breath sample.

This is a serious warning for all you "thank God is friday" crooners and moreover, life no get duplicate...so take it easy on your tank level when filling up at the club

It is now a crime for Lagos motorists to eat while driving. You could be nabbed for committing a traffic offence by chewing on plantain chips and the many snacks sold by hawkers in traffic. It is also a crime for Lagos motorists to make or receive phone calls while they are on motion.
The punishment is a three-year jail term or a fine of N20,000 for first offenders and N30,000 for subsequent offences or both for any other breaches subject to the discretion of the presiding magistrate.

The law also banned commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada, cart, wheel barrow and tricycle operators from carrying out their activities on the state’s section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Ikorodu Road, Agege Motor Road, Funsho Williams Avenue, Eko Bridge, Third Mainland Bridge, Carter Bridge, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Victoria Island-Lekki-Epe Expressway and all bridges in the state.

EKO ONI BAJE...which means Lagos wont get spoilt...

If i ever forget the Atlanta 96 Olympic games, then, am not a proud citizen of my country but what i don't understand is what exactly happened at London 2012...lack of preparation might be the answer but it seems we are just a glory of our past..the games is gradually folding up, some countries are rejoicing for medals, some for a great participation but my dear nation is no where to be found amidst the whole spirit of the game.

Aside not qualifying for the football men and women, Tennis, basketball, boxing all showed a sad outing for Nigeria..can we ever learn, i wont speak too much grammar on what should be done but please lets endeavor to promote our sports from the grassroot, our primary and secondary schools...make it a compulsory course at the university level.

China came to the Olympics with all the spirit of confidence that has been built 4 years before now..and they shocked the whole world at swimming, gymnastics and so on...What a Glory and you ask..Are we really the giant of Africa?

A recent release has shown that the Sexy Actress has the largest fan base in Nigeria with over 75,000 followers on twitter and over 728,000 fans on Facebook...its not a surprise because she is currently involved in a lot of charitable work across the African continent and also an ambassador with Amnesty International...but please do not start the hate war...she deserves it

If you consider yourself one of the lucky people who haven't been forced to switch to Timeline yet, know that your luck may soon run out. According to Techcrunch, Facebook will force all of its 955 million accounts to use the new, more visual profile layout this fall in order to give everyone a consistent experience throughout the site.

Timeline was introduced January this year catching some people by surprise. Facebook has been periodically forcing more and more users to make the switch since then; the rollout will merely be accelerated so that the transition will be complete in the next few months. Its recently announced revamped photo interface is also part of the site-wide change, so expect to get the feature soon.

It will take effect by prompting you to get timeline before login in, which automatically directs you there except you want to return to old images...watch out

A deadly Ebola virus outbreak in Uganda has claimed about fourteen lives in the capital, Kampala.
Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni, has urged people to avoid physical contact. Mr Museveni said health officials were trying to trace everyone who had had contact with victims so that they could be quarantined.
Ebola, one of the most virulent diseases in the world, is spread by close personal contact and can kill up to 90% of those who become infected.
According to BBC News, the Ugandan President has advised people against shaking hands, kissing or having sex to prevent the disease from spreading.
Mr Museveni said relatives and friends should not bury anyone who is suspected to have died of Ebola, instead, they should call on health workers.

About 300 children have been rescued from human traffickers by the Nigeria Army on the Itobe-Ajaokuta-Okene road on Saturday.  These children, who were between ages 10 and 15, with some adults, were heading to the western states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti in quest of menial jobs.

Meanwhile, last Friday, one Mr Sunday Agbo, from Benue State, was arrested by the task force with 10 children.
According to the Nigeria Tribune, the suspect confessed to being in the trade for close to a decade, revealing that it was done with the consent of the children’s parents who were paid N5,000 per child with the promise of helping them to secure jobs as maids in Lagos and other states.

Why would any woman who went through pregnancy and delivery sell her child for a token fee of 5000 naira...is it poverty or what? In this age where many are searching and expecting a child after years of marriage...Heaven help us
