I am an advocate of good movies in Nigeria and i accept the fact that some films are not worth seeing either for home use or cinema but there are a good number that deserves applaudes....recently, i was at a cinema in Lagos to see a new film titled HoodRush..and i had no regret paying my way to see the film which starred some of Nollywoods best...Gabriel Afolayan, OC Ukeje and Hot Diva, Bimbo Akintola.

I believe most producers are wide awake now because most of the cinemas now request for quality content and so, they have no choice but to come up with quality...If Tope Oshin Ogun is a reputable director like i know, then this movie is surely a must watch and with an awesome cast of  Dakore Akande, Ashionye Michelle Raccah, Katherine Obiang, Tosin Sido, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Brainard, Femi Jacobs, and Chris Attoh.

‘Journey To Self’. Produced by Ashionye Raccah and directed by Tope Oshin Ogun.

Just like the White House is every Americans dream, the Aso Rock Villa at Abuja is every politicians dream and it is always a case of the strongest in every angle you can think of...there are two top politicians who desire to be there, Olusegun Mimiko and David Mark..

Mimiko is the incumbent governor of Ondo State and Mark is the Senate President of the Federal republic of Nigeria. Just few weeks ago, Mimiko was re-elected back into office for the second tenure which is to begin next year feburary. There are speculations that the governor is aiming higher than just being a governor and there are indications that the senate president as well is eyeing the Aso rock seat.

There are other silent game movers out there but the Nigerian politics is always played in a dirty mud..if you cannot survive the heat and dirt, you have to move out before you get stained beyond recognition. It is time we respect the villa and see it as a place for reputable leaders, people who have a reason and mission to lead, Hausa, Igbo or is about vision, mission and love for the entire populace.

I would also want to know how long it takes before one can decide to lead Nigeria because so many wake up after few months in one office, and decide to go for the presidency..Is it Mark, Mimiko or who?...Time will tell but please play clean..

This is no doubt one of the biggest medium used by corporate brands across the world to reach their consumers because we all love the football game, some for game itself, the fun moments of goals, some just love the arguments, the fine hot footballers loved by the women and the fact that its a moment where you forget your race and just enjoy being around everyone on the pitch.

So, it surely takes a lot of cash to maintain them by ensuring they enjoy their career...and at a very young age, these guys have achieved so much, a secured future for their family...its simply mind blowing

So many development and growth is happening fast in the entertainment industry these days...from top notch videos, mad lyrics, great endorsement, reality shows and now, posing nude for a cool cash...Adokiye has decided to throw away all negativity and go for posing good or bad does not make any meaning now cause even the picture has gone to the download market and i guess that is why gisturbia can even get an access to it...As a Nigerian, am i loving this...i am not sure because i cannot speak any ill of her but i certainly trust our society...

Newbie singer Adokiye has released pictures from a magazine spread. The ‘baby baby’ singer who featured rap artiste Olamide in her debut single is seen in her draws in most of the picture. She also appears nude in one of the pictures.
The release informed that she was cash in on $200,000 (plus a G Wagon Mercedes Benz car) deal with the magazine tabloid in New York, USA for the photo spread.

This is definitely for the single ladies in Nigeria but...i wont be surprised if many celebs join the band wagon soon...but why do they cover the nipple side when posing nude?

Well, it seems our Nigerian celebs have found a better way to relate with their fans across the world, as they prepare to get real with their lives, career and family via television reality the Ice and Koko, Kardashians.

In August, Omotola Jalade announced that she was shooting a reality Tv show which would give fans access to her life as a mother and actress. The show tagged ‘The Real Omotola’ is reportedly going to start airing before the end of the year. Taking from her cue, reps of the actor Jim Iyke have announced a new TV series on his day to day activities as an actor.
Actor Jim Iyke would be airing his own reality TV show on the DSTV cable network – Africa Magic. The reality series tagged Jim Iyke unscripted would be a joint production of the the cable network and Oh Africa TV which would give fans access into the life of the actor, starting airing in weeks.

My fear is that our television belt will soon be flooded with so many reality shows by every celeb in the country, even some up and coming stars who have some little cash might just decide to pay their way into our homes by feeding us with all sorts..please remember that not everything about your life is worth the viewers pleasure

Let me start by apologizing to every reader of this blog across the world...i was on an official assignment outside my location and it was work all the way with a little fun but the road trip was not a smiling moment because of the present state of our roads in much pot holes everywhere and yet i keep wondering if we have leaders in our nation...i guess what most citizens will keep saying is...lets continue to pray for them...i know have missed out on some exciting news stories but i will make sure i give my analysis on them...even though they seem old already...i am so sorry guys but am back

Thiago Messi was born, October 5th..congrats to Lionel Messi and his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo...What a wonder.Do i smell the father's gene...its just a matter of time before we know, perhaps, a club can sign him down now and secure a jersey for him...

Mariah Carey has upped her security since her huge blow out with Nicki Minaj following threat of gun violence on the set of the audition for the reality talent hunt show – American Idols. She is said to be worried about the “unpredictable” rapper’s next move...seriously, who would not be worried.

Nicki Minaj allegedly said “If I had a gun I would shoot the b***h” during her outburst. A message sent from a rep of the veteran singer wrote to a TV show host recently read: “She said she is very concerned, she’s with her twins, she doesn’t feel that anything would happen, but Nicki is unpredictable and Mariah says she can’t take a chance and has hired extra security.

“Nicki has not apologised, but they were together in meetings… during which Nicki said, ‘I love you, but we might fight again!’...“Mariah said at this point she doesn’t feel comfortable emotionally but she will continue with the show because she loves mentoring the contestants.”

I think Nicki needs a session or two with the anger management classes or perhaps a rehab because she might fulfill that desire to pull the trigger one day and that is not funny...

Well, before everyone thinks she is just wondering why she is missing on the screen...lets face the truth, Funmi gave us a reason to sit with breakfast shows and am sure most of my friends would say i am so passionate about her...and that is true.

I had several opportunities to be at the recording session of New Dawn with Funmi and i must say there is nothing like hanging around with F.I, as she is fondly called...its magical because she leaves you inspired, motivated and gives you that much confidence and drive you need to keep going in life. She is the Queen of Talk Show and many are still bothered why she left.

She came back again and gave us another angle to her creativity by coming up wit Talk with Funmi, another inspiring moment that makes you love television and the fact that you are celebrated as a Nigerian but right now, i really do not know whats happening but i believe that her airtime is forever there and she can always pick it up to do what she loves best..

Yes...we all have our down times, our weaknesses but we are a victor when we turn that into a positive energy and i believe that is what makes her special and dear to the world...Let me if you find her somewhere...Changing Lives i presume cause she loves that so much

I am yet to enjoy the best of Tonto Dikeh as an actress and yet, she is delving into the music world..and soon, she will run a promo telling us to buy a ticket of 50,000 naira to attend an album launch...Yes we all know she cares less about what we all say but the truth is that, some of our celebs in the make believe world need a rehab for their career fast.

If you know music is your thing, you would have ventured into it since and not follow the path of Next Movie star...and what exactly is she singing about..are we to expect more obscenity or what, what are your experiences in music...we need a break guys..

Even the world acclaimed Hollywood does not mess up their career in this way, yes they do have some crappy career moments but have you heard about Angelina Jolie and the likes going into the music world, even if they have the voice...the only appraisal about them is that the broadway works so good for them, where you can act and sing at the same time.

Please wake up...we are yet to swallow some of the awful songs being released daily in the Nigerian market and still, some others are coming in..i think you should invest that energy and resource into a brilliant film project or just go into a charitable work...or write a book about yourself.

Some of our stars do not know their right from wrong when it comes to their career...your career is not feeding our eyes with shows every now and then that costs lots of money, your career is not appearing at every red, green or orange carpet event and flaunting misappropriate and uncoordinated outfits called your style...your career is not appearing in just any kind of movie, all because you want to make ends meet..

A successful career has lots of children, such as investment into the lives of those who want to be like you, its about going for training and not being blinded with the 10,000 naira you receive per scene, your career is about being nice to the press no matter what, they can kill you or sell you...your career brings fulfillment and how many of them are truly fulfilled?

Yes...this is no more news to many Nigerians because bad news spreads like wild fire in the bush but i took my time to post this due to what i am about to write...I should rule out the fact that these murderers do not have the fear of God, if you cannot create a being, while kill one..moreso, these harmless young Nigerians who have a dream..and i ask, who is not a thief in Nigeria?

Everyone is a thief in Nigeria...i am not saying this to paint my nation black but we are truly black, perhaps our national flag should have a tint of black somewhere and not the white that says peace...our greeness is quite fertile to commit atrocities such as this one.

And i continue, everyone is a thief in Naija...from Artistes who steal lyrics, we bloggers that upload the same story, marriage destroyers through gossip, Husband and wife snatchers...and to the billionaires who call themselves our leaders, stealing the nations wealth much more is happening and yet some people just decide to take the lives of these youngsters in their twenties...all because of laptops and phones

It is a shame and the government of Rivers State must sit up and do something fast because i know the presidency will not make any move, This is not a matter of what led this guys to this act but why take their lives...and you ask, do we have a good judicial system because anyone who kills should also face such beats, even more than that..

Yes, it is our tradition to say leave them to God for judgement but i stand to say the members of that community must all face the judicial dance and be punished for this act...what message are we even passing to the international community?

D’Banj has finally spoken on the rumours linking him to the Illuminati cult. Speaking on Beat FM, Lagos with On-air personality Olisa Odibua he denied his membership of any cult precisely, Illuminati and explained that alliance with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, he said it is the American record label is a partner to his newly formed label, D’Banj (DB) Records.

He also confirmed a collaboration with 2face on a track titled ‘feeling Good’ with a video in the work, which would mark the forth video from the singer since he parted ways with Don Jazzy.

My mouth is sealed on this aspect of Dbanj's career prospect but since the social media has enlightened a lot of Nigerians about the rudiments of this group, everyone seems to recognize the features once they get to watch your video...perhaps there are other cult groups similar to that of Illuminati.

I would like to say that there is an element of truth in every rumour...a little thereabout...just saying

The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped to 63rd in the world and 13th in Africa in the FIFA Rankings recently released. Spain tops the world rating while Germany, Portugal, Argentina and England make up the top five as Ivory Coast is at the 16th position and the number 1 African country. Algeria, Mali, Ghana and Egypt make up the top 5 African countries.

I guess we should not be depressed about this development because Nigeria is presently good in football on paper but not by reality again...where is the spirit that went to USA 94 or the Olympic fighter...all these are just on paper, this is just an evident that a lot of things are wrong with us as Nigerians but we just keep that smiling face and say..all is well and sing the song of going back to the drawing board...that board must be filled up now with so many jargons called strategic process of reawakening our football.

Even in Africa, we are no where to be found..a total shame i must say...i love the football game because of the likes of Late Rashidi Yekini, Mutiu Adepoju, Segun Odegbami, Austin Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and so many others but these days...they are called celebrity players who are daily accumulating wealth from football and no sincere national pride that they play for Nigeria and would do anything despite the odds to take us to a great height...

I only hope we do not move out of the rankings if there is no space for us anymore...

INEC- the Independent National Electoral Commission is broke and might not be able to pay its staffs in few months to come. In a statement made by the commission boss on Wednesday in Abuja, he told the visiting members of the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters, led by its chairman, Mr. Jerry Manwe, that it was broke and might not be able to pay staff salaries, as from next month.

He therefore called on the legislators to quickly intervene and save the situation to avoid frustrating the commission’s aspiration of conducting the 2015 general elections in line with international best practices.I cannot help but laugh over this matter..this is an agency under our government and lots of money is usually pumped into the election...

This couple started their journey 20 years ago at Trinity United Church in Chicago on October 3, 1992. The busy couple were unable to relax together during their actual anniversary, yesterday as the US President was participating in a presidential debate...but still, they had the time to tweet eachother..My greatest admiration of them is the simple life they live

Barack Tweeted:
“Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend. Happy anniversary, Michelle. -bo”
Michelle tweeted back :
“Happy 20th anniversary, Barack. Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend, and father every day. I love you! –mo”

Their 20 years of marital bliss blessed with two lovely daughters, Malia Ann Obama & Natasha Obama and of course, they are the first citizen of the United States of America.

Taraba State Deputy Governor, Sani Danladi Abubakar, who has been undergoing investigation following allegations of gross misconduct and engaging in private businesses by the State House of Assembly has been impeached following conclusion of the investigation by the panel.

Allegations stemmed from the deputy governor diverting a Millennium Development Goals project to his private school, Yagai Academy with subsidiaries like Yagai Water, Yagai Printing Press and Yagai Restaurant. The deputy governor denied the allegations providing evidence of bank loans obtained from Zenith Bank and First Bank to build the Yagai Academy.

He is definitely not the only government office holder who is involved in such acts..some are just trying to play smart and i effective is the freedom of information that was passed because that will help in a way to checkmate their finances by doing a regular update of their spendings...Who is Next?

Since 28 August 2012 when it was reported that Patience, the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan was flown to Germany for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment, Nigerians are yet to ascertain the nature of her sickness. The first lady has been reportedly discharged into an unknown hotel in Germany for better recovery because, the doctors still need to monitor her health before she can be asked to proceed on any long-distance trip.

Lets be patient enough and pray that a good luck of healing will be bestowed on her from heaven..It will not sound nice to lose our first lady because it will create tension at the presidency as to why either the president or the wife usually dies...

I really do not expect a feud between these two people because there is nothing to rival about..lets start with the age factor, Mariah is older than Nicki, she is happily married with twins..and to the music career, Mariah is far above Nicki and so i might be quick to judge Nicki and say...she is insecured but i know this might translate into a music video very soon..

Rumors of drama between Minaj and Carey began to swirl as soon as the new panel was officially announced on Sept. 16.

After a meeting on Wednesday attended by the pair, Minaj said to Carey, "I love you, but we might fight again," according to Walters. "Mariah responded, 'No, we will not.'"
Walters said Carey told her that the singer had hired extra security.
"Mariah said she doesn't feel comfortable emotionally," Walters reported. "But she will continue with the show because she loves the show. And she loves mentoring the contestants."

Its a great joy to carry a child in your womb for 9 months and have a safe delivery thereafter...celebrations with music, food and all you can think of is the order of the day...but the welfare of that child is very important and when that does not occur, something is wrong with the parents...why have a child in the first place.

I recently passed through Cele area of Lagos, along Oshodi Apapa Expressway and for the few minutes i sat in a bus at a park, two little boys came to meet me and asked for money...the first thing i exclaimed was...where is your mother and he said...she don go Obalande, whether he was lying or woman should use her child to make money in the name of helping the less priviledged, moreso, roaming an area like Cele.

These children can be taken to special homes if you cannot afford their welfare because they can grow to become street thugs in the near future and the effect is very bad to the society.

I have made so much noise like a town crier about the need for Nigerian Celebrities in the movie and music world to come up wit strategic programmes that will add value to the lives of their fans and society as a whole...Yes, there are a few ones doing outstanding things but we need more because the government will certainly not be there at all times but with their great heights in life, some social welfare programmes can be of help...

“The Waje Safe House is an initiative of Waje that is aimed at supporting NGO’s and causes that need help to achieve their goals and targets” the singer posted on her Facebook wall. This was to launch the new NGO on Nigeria’s Independence day. The singer said the idea to reach out to some needy people in the society began to germinate when she visited a children’s school at the slum quarters of Makoko in Lagos after her encounter with a lady, Doyinsola Ogunye who had an ongoing aid project.

She told The Vanguard: ‘It concerns some of the poorest but most cheerful kids ever . Every quarter, Waje Safe House will partner with an NGO to raise funds and awareness for their projects.’

Others should please emulate this lady...and stop exploiting us through your events that the minimal fee starts from 50,000 naira and so on

Report of an argument between the new judges – Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on the American Idol reality TV Show just broke. In a video which surfaced online, Nicki Minaj is heard threatening to knock out the veteran singer Mariah Carey. A furious Nicki Minaj snapped after what she calls ‘high handedness’ as she is heard shouting I “told them I’m not f*ckin’ putting up with her f**kin’ highness over there” in the video.

The disagreement broke out over their inability to agree on a contestant’s performance at an audition in North Carolina, US on Tuesday. TMZ also reports that this situation has had producers worried about their presence on the show for the long haul.

Now, what do we call these...i am not taking sides but nicki should have some regard for Mariah...its Mariah Carey we are talking about here..Nicki is a great performer just like Beyonce but Mariah is a better singer, by all angles you can put it...perhaps they should both apply for the Idols and lets see who takes the crown.

Investigations by SaharaReporters revealed that Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, allegedly booked and paid for two rooms in two separate high-cost hotels during the four nights she spent in New York City during the just concluded United Nations General Assembly.

It was discovered that Joe Mordi, one of the minister’s closest aides who works at the NNPC office in London, booked her into a one-bedroom suite at Four Seasons Hotel located at 57 East 57th Street, New York.
A staff(name withheld) at the hotel said that the suite cost $5,000 per night. Ms. Alison-Madueke, who is known around Presidency circles as “Prime Minister,” was also booked into another room at the Pierre Hotel on 2 East 61st Street in New York where President Goodluck Jonathan lodged during his stay in New York. SaharaReporters found out that her room on the 28th floor of the Pierre Hotel cost Nigerian tax payers $3,000 per night. There were also additional charges in taxes and service fees.

it was also learnt that, apart from the lavish double accommodation enjoyed by the Petroleum minister in two of New York City’s most expensive hotels, her delegation of seven NNPC officials also engaged in other acts of reckless spending. “The NNPC hired ten limousines to ferry its 7 officials, including the General Managing Director,” said our source. Five of the limousines, rented for $1,800 each per day, were stationed permanently in front of the Pierre Hotel while another five were put to the service of the NNPC officials at the Four Seasons.

Some might call this..a case of rumour having its way but its people they are transacting with everyday and certainly, records are kept, even if its President Obama...When it comes to the Govt. office holders in Nigeria, I cant help but say that they are big spenders...i mean huge big spenders and Madueke is definitely in the least of the Kings and Queens of Cash in Naija..SaharaReporters had earlier reported that President Jonathan was quartered at the Pierre Hotel in a suite that cost $10,000 per night.

One of the greatest joy of this life is finding a suitable partner for yourself...that will lead to a beautiful union and who says the disabled cannot share in this bond...that is the testimony of these paralympians..Folashade Oluwafemiayo and fiance, Tolulope Owolabi are getting married on November 3, 2012 in Jos, Plateau state. The two lovebirds represented Nigeria in the Powerlifting category at the London Paralympics 2012.

This is a great news...after getting a medal at the games, she also says I DO...awesome

I was expecting this and is coming to your television screens, a Reality TV show about the Houstons...The Whitney Houston family’s reality TV series, called ‘The Houstons: On Our Own’ is set to debut on 24th October, 2012.

The show details how they have coped since the death of their famous and wealthy family member, Whitney.
Formerly called “The Houston Family Chronicles,” the new reality series would be 14 half hour episodes.
The show will star the singer’s sister-in-law/manager Pat Houston, as she tries her best to help Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina deal with the pressure that comes along with celebrity life.

This is definitely a creative ritual to bring in Bobby Kristina into the spotlight of her mother but is it music, movies or what...this is just a step closer...good initiative by the producers
