NIGERIA KEEPS GOING DOWN IN FIFA RANKING

The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped to 63rd in the world and 13th in Africa in the FIFA Rankings recently released. Spain tops the world rating while Germany, Portugal, Argentina and England make up the top five as Ivory Coast is at the 16th position and the number 1 African country. Algeria, Mali, Ghana and Egypt make up the top 5 African countries.

I guess we should not be depressed about this development because Nigeria is presently good in football on paper but not by reality again...where is the spirit that went to USA 94 or the Olympic fighter...all these are just on paper, this is just an evident that a lot of things are wrong with us as Nigerians but we just keep that smiling face and say..all is well and sing the song of going back to the drawing board...that board must be filled up now with so many jargons called strategic process of reawakening our football.

Even in Africa, we are no where to be found..a total shame i must say...i love the football game because of the likes of Late Rashidi Yekini, Mutiu Adepoju, Segun Odegbami, Austin Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and so many others but these days...they are called celebrity players who are daily accumulating wealth from football and no sincere national pride that they play for Nigeria and would do anything despite the odds to take us to a great height...

I only hope we do not move out of the rankings if there is no space for us anymore...
