ITS JAYWON VERSUS KENNIS...

This is one fiasco that one needs to find out exactly whats going on before taking sides..even though, Jaywon is a floating artiste and I do have my reservation about his growth in the Industry. Some people see him as a passer-by within the Kennis family.
James Oluwajuwonlo Edahi, popularly known as Jaywon, broke into the music industry with the  hit song ‘File Be’. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/04/my-street-life-a-boost-to-my-musical-career-jaywon/#sthash.J3JRq9uJ.dpuf

James Oluwajuwonlo Edahi broke into the industry with his hit single-File Be...after he was initially discovered at the Kennis Music Easter Fiesta in 2009..Jaywon says he came to lagos from Abuja because of Music and am sure, Kennis has turned his life around in the best way possible but do you really think his on top of his game or to an extent, an upcoming artiste.

In Nigeria today, a hit single could tag you as a celebrity/Star/and all that fame but let me put aside all that and focus on the matter...Why is Jaywon leaving Kennis at this time...? Jaywon is asking Kennis music to terminate his contract with them and even says he will pay them if need be to do so.Kennis Music has therefore sent out a press release to that effect asking all media to stop playing his songs till he buys out his contract..

If we recall that last year, there were some words that he was going to quit or not and Kenny Ogungbe gave out serious warnings as regards it...probably in a bid to forestall such problems it had with another of its artists, Maga Don Pay singer, Kelly Hansome.

In a statement lucidly titled ‘Jaywon signed for 3 full albums,’ Kennis Music reminded Jaywon that he signed a 3-album deal and only one, Meet Jaywon, has been released so far.
The statement also cemented the label’s position on the Jaywon issue by declaring that “discussion of Jaywon’s contract renewal is not on the front burner.” In recent times, artists having problems with their labels has been rife in the music industry.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and enjoy this series...perhaps, he might launch his own label...
