IS MRS. SAVAGE BALOGUN ONLY THE GUILTY ONE?

Tiwa Savage Balogun was recently in a social media battle with Musician turned Columnist, Etcetera over a subject tagged ''second-hand husband'' and the current meal on the table of Mrs. Balogun is the much talked about ''wanted'' music video; Now, It is trending all over blogs, tweeter, facebook, print and broadcast media..and certainly local gossipers around town.

Frankly, I am not surprised about such a video. Tiwa Savage was based in a society where such pop concept is quite appreciated and she trained under the best; on returning to Nigeria, the home where the culture is gradually relegated to the bins and full of youths who are living and grooming their lives powered by a pop culture-What do you expect her to dish out to you?

So many of us went gaga with the release of kele Kele Love in 2010 and Love me 3X in 2011 and praised her effort for such creative video which showed some skin in a sultry way...What exactly is the problem now? Let me help you digest it before many of you destroy a career that has been well built over the years...
Mrs. Balogun is not the only guilty one but I will return to her; let me start with the well-fed pot-bellied entertainment network of Journalist - When an artiste releases singles and albums, do you do proper reviews and press interviews to drill such creative work to the understanding of the intended listeners? Rather, everyone struggles to get a free pass, wear the best of designer outfits and colognes and flaunt theirselves at the red, green or multi-colored rugs asking quite irrelevant questions...

Television Programmes is not just for inviting corporate organizations, politicians, social reformers or public analysts; Musicians must be interviwed as a career person and not as celebrities in our entertainment shows.
We know very well that the likes of Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji have been interviwed on day time shows on the International front..This is where the media in Nigeria has failed..How many times has Tiwa appeared on a talk show and her career is being checked and balanced with constructive questions that can shake her publicist...

To some Nigerians who have questioned the ''creative'' delivery of Tiwatope but can afford a huge bill of cable Tv just to enjoy some sexy visual moment with Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna and so on; Let me say that you might actually do worse like Maheeda(the actual wanted Naija bad girl)
To Mrs. Savage, Of what use is your music video, If it cannot be viewed in day time because I do not want my 6 year old girl who is on holiday to sneak into the bedroom and go all sultry-sessions..No artiste can define a total success in life except there is a postive influence of your craft, I am not sure this is the path you want maam...

Tiwa Savage Balogun is actually not the only guilty one in this drama series, despite the hate game around the video, quite a lot must have downloaded it and the ladies increasing their ssexiness routines from the moves she made..Tiwa is no doubt a sexy Musician and If that is what works for her...please let her be but precaution must be taken by the music video directors of these female artistes who want to make us lose our minds..This is Africa, be creative with caution flashing culture in your mind....nonetheless, I must salute the creative hand of Mr. Moe Musa but endeavor to hold a press conference where Journalists can be enlightened about the concept behind the video and how it can be managed on television...
