NIGERIAN ACTOR, AARON SUNDAY WALKING A REVIVAL OF A READING CULTURE...

For the past years now, Nigeria has recorded a very low performance in academic excellence, a problem which can be traced to lack of reading in our society especially amongst the youths..We all know that the social media has completely taken over the life cycle of most youths today, this is not placing a negative value on the essence of facebooking, tweeting, googling and all that; after all, this particular blog you are reading is created under the Google platform and it is a social medium but It is important we revive our reading culture in Nigeria...

Nigerian Actor, Aaron Sunday joined in the quest to revive the reading culture in Nigeria because he is an actor who stands for change in the educational system and believes without reading, you cannot be where you want to be..Without reading, you cannot lead he emphasizes and adds further that reading is the gateway to ones success..Can you outgrow reading?, Aaron says you read to add value to yourself, You read to know what is going on in your society and also to remain relevant
This project was spearheaded by Kola Oyeyemi, Convener of Ignite Africa Leadership Foundation and took off from Rowe Park, Yaba. The likes of Actor, Joseph Benjamin, Veteran Comedian, Ali Baba, Comedian turned Tv Host, Tee-A, SeyiLaw, Praize, KCee, HarrySong amongst others also took part in the revival of the reading culture in Nigeria.

Aaron further says that our libraries are no longer respected because most people do not value the great essence of reading and amidst the shortage of books in some libraries, Little drops of water they say make a mighty ocean and so, the little books in the libraries can give a foundational start to ones future.
