This is no doubt a significant year in the history of Nigeria and the reasons are not far fetched...by the way, I took some time off but am back for good and I have two interesting tales to dish out but let me wake up my spirit of writing by recognising this month called October, one that is presumed by a larger Nigerian populace as a time for some sort of evil "ember things" but again why not wish for something better...something like what Award Winning Film Director, Kunle Afolayan is offering us.

This Film is being released at a time when Nigeria is facing so many socio-political and socio-economic challenges but with such a Film like October 1, I believe our bondness will be for the best..This is where Nollywood should channel its creativity and strength, we need to dig deep and explore various tales that can bring back better memories about Nigeria and also drive the quest for true peace and unity.
There was so much drama over the approval of Half of a Yellow Sun in Nigeria and some have said the film was over hyped but I care less...The film actually made me appreciate and understand the essence of peace and unity and perhaps, a better understanding of the events around the Biafra story..Now that Uncle Kunle has achieved this unique feat and not forgetting bigger Uncle Lancelot Imasuen with the Invasion 1897...This is what is known as a Film Industry.

I am not saying the likes of Emem Isong and Desmond Elliot are not doing well but honestly, they need to slow it down on the Hollywood driven story Idea they keep throwing at us but Its only creative to watch because of the fantastic casts they use...back to the matter, Its yet another Independence anniversary and am sure most Nigerians have a lot to say but can we just look ahead and stop the complaints because It is time to take action...less talk and more pro activeness from your Local, state or Federal level.

I am so eager to view October 1 and I implore you too..This is not the time to form activity and say ''I do not do Naija movies at the cinema, Lets celebrate our own...This man has tried..from Figurine, Irapada to Phone Swap and now this huge project that features the great Sadiq Daba...Am done Writing....See you at a cinema nearest to you!
