MILEY CYRUS WANTS TO GET MARRIED FOR REAL THIS TIME...?

If American Singer, Miley Cyrus and American Actor, Liam Hemsworth are actually engaged, then, apparently, this is not their last song afterall...These two love birds have initially called it a day with their relationship of 4 years...Miley and Liam met in 2009 while filming ''the last song'' and broke up in 2013...It wasn’t until the “Wrecking Ball” singer was spotted hanging out with Liam and the rest of the Hemsworth family in Australia over the holidays that it was revealed the couple had rekindled their romance. A few weeks later, Miley was seen wearing her Neil lane engagement ring and a moving truck was spotted in front of Liam's Malibu, California home.

I believe Liam knows the kind of showbiz personality he was dealing with but love conquers all and love can be very ''stupid'' but who cares..It is all about their happiness...More proof of their reunion reflected when Miley helped her former beau adopt a dog and then she cryptically posted a screenshot of a text someone sent her saying ''I love you''. But do you know Liam never liked how exposed his life was with Miley...well, she is actually putting a lot of effort now to make things work for them.
According to a source through People Magazine“Miley wants to get married. His family was very hesitant about a marriage in the past, but they really got to know Miley better when she spent time in Australia a few weeks ago. Everyone seems excited that they are back together.”

MERCY JOHNSON OKOJIE IS THE HOTTEST NOLLYWOOD WIFEY AND MUM...

She is 31 years old...She is one of my top favorite Nollywood Actress....She is sexy but Nollywood Actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie is currently hotter than fire because this is her present look after delivering her third child in December 2015. What more can we say...I think she looks very fit and smart for a return to her career and do not expect those extreme intimate scenes again.

There are a few Nollywood Actresses who are trying to stay in good shape...Kate Henshaw is a mother but that has not made her redraw back to the closet and stay out of shape, rather, she lives and eats the gym just to stay healthy and fit...but this stunt from Mercy Johnson might just spring another baby bump surprise...Do you know she simply had 3 children within 5 years...Well, money is not a challenge for Prince Okojie and that is a defined legacy in the family.

WILL ''THE REVENANT'' MAKE HISTORY AT THE OSCARS?

With 12 Academy Award nominations at the 88th edition of the Oscars which will hold in February, 2016, The Revenant might just be set to make history being the most nominated film for the ceremony. Interestingly, the movie had won 3 Golden Globes recently and everyone is just on their edge especially for American Actor, Leonardo DiCaprio who pulled a superb artistic performance as the protagonist in the film and has been nominated for Best Actor alongside Tom Hardy for Best Supporting Actor. Other nominations include Best Director, Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Best Sound Editing.

The Revenant is a 2015 American epic western adventure film based in part of Michael Punke's The Revenant; A Novel of Revenge...inspired by experiences of frontiersman and fur trapper Hugh Glass, Set in 1823 Montana and Dakota..Both Leonardo and Hardy worked together on Inception and I presume the director must have seen something...which has turned out to be a great success. This was a project that was initially cut for Directors, Park Chan-Wook and John Hillcoat with Samuel L.Jackson and Christian Bale as main actors respectively.

The budget for this film was $135 Million and initial development of this project started in August 2001 amidst some controversies as to who to produce, fund, act and all that but... Award winning Mexican Director, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is taking the glory at the end of the day because history might repeat itself in the life of this man who was responsible for the success of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), A comedy film that won Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the last Academy Awards.

Revenant was shot in 12 different locations and 3 different countries; Argentina, Canada and the United States. It may interest you to know that Alejandro insisted that computer-generated imagery not be used to enhance the film stating ''If we ended up in greenscreen with coffee and everybody having a good time, everybody will be happy, but most likely the film will be a piece of shit''. Hence, It was shot with natural lighting amidst bad weather conditions and some crew members giving up on the project..It was a very challenging time for the director who had 30-40 difficult sequences while shooting, he also had to go in and out of frozen rivers and sleeping in animal carcasses...At the end of the day, the glory has been written for the world to see and celebrate.
Meanwhile, the 41 year old Veteran Actor has reacted to his 5th Oscar nomination in an interview stating that winning an Oscar would be an ''Icing on the Cake'' as he has worked as hard as he possible could...

A CHINESE BODY WITH A NAIJA SOUL...

The art expressed itself well...What then are we doing as Nigerians If a Chinese man can pull off our style very well..try to be proudly Nigerian at least once a week If your job does not permit wearing it every day...

ANNIE IDIBIA; A STEP-MUM WITH A DIFFERENCE...

I believe every lady still interested in Tuface Idibia should go for an evaluation of their heart...It truly belongs to Annie Idibia...despite knowing that her hubby has children with two other women, She has proved more reasons to remain with this successful artiste and I do not mean his money because these love birds have come a long way...even before some of those girls chasing him were born!...

She expressed her joy recently when her step son, Nino Idibia clocked 10...Yea..just like yesterday right! Nino is actually Tubaba's First she had with Sumbo Ajaba(now Adeoye)...Well, It is very interesting and cool how all these parties involved in the parenting of these children directly or indirectly are...Sumbo's Hubby gladly accepts to father Tubaba's kids and Annie certainly has proved a motherly love for all the children including hers...

Annie sent a birthday message out to him on Instagram...''Hurrrrrayyyyyyyy!!!!! Our first son is 10 today!!!!! Nino Fabulous, so much Wisdom! The head of the gang!!! So proud and fortunate to be a part of your life! May you continue to grow in wisdom and become the great leader that you are!!! My fab Son...@ninoidibia mummy loves you...''
ZION AND NINO
This is very cool and she is actually close to the mum...but as an African, I want to look forward to that day when Annie shall bring forth a boy into the world..A part of me just feels she would be interested in having a male child for this great African music legend...I mean that African part of me...I do hope every woman can be of such character no matter the circumstance...just hold it tight!

SICKLE CELL; ACTRESS, MERCY AIGBE REMEMBERS HER SISTER...

Sickle Cell Disease has to do with a group of inherited red blood cells disorders and It is a global concern and that is why everyone is usually advised and counselled about their choice of partners and this is why celebrated Nigerian Actress, Mercy Aigbe is also lending her voice to this cause by admonishing people to know their genotype before choosing a life partner. This light skinned actress lost her sister to this disease and has just been endorsed as an ambassador to a sickle cell initiative campaign.
The Dubai Afrika Sickle Cell Project has endorsed Mercy who is very happy to be a part of this in loving memory of her elder sister, Joy Aigbe. She is the first ambassador of this Project and I hope more Nigerian Celebrities are worthy enough to lend a voice to great causes like this..It will serve as an inspiration to the younger generations in Africa.

NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES; DRAWING THE PUBLICITY LINE...MORE DRAMA TO COME

It is no longer news that the year 2016 started on a very amusing note on and off the social media as our dear Olamide and Don Jazzy wrote and enacted their own definition of celebrity drama...Some people have termed it as a PR stunt and yes they have apologized to their respective fans and also reconciled but the deed has been done...How do you think people will define your personality afterwards...? Now, I am asking every Nigerian celebrity and that includes some of the people who also got a public hit like Miss Di'Ja who was apparently rejoicing like a little girl while her 'daddy' threw jibes at his fellow artiste...unfortunately, a beloved voice of the street, one in whom most citizens are well pleased lyrically...

This scenario has actually thrown more spotlight on the two brands but it is out of place when publicity comes via jibes, fights and unnecessary tweet drama..If you want to be daring, please think of Derenle...That is actually a PR stunt..I do not know why Cynthia Morgan and her entire team was not arrested, banned or something when her picture with a weed carrying a baby was posted online...That is actually very inappropriate. Recently, WizKid and Dammy Krane displayed their own at a popular club in Lagos over the ownership right to a particular lyrics used by WizKid...Why did it take Dammy Krane this long...? Was he inspired by the Headies drama or they were just simply induced by alcohol..A fight actually occurred with some injuries but interestingly, apologies to fans always follow...You do not owe me an apology...simply sue WizKid to court or something!

I think some of our celebrities are just cowards...thumbs up to those who pull off an egg plant, semi nudes, falling off stage stunts and other personified moves...I feel it is better off than fighting or creating unnecessary rivalry in the real world...It has become a thing of argument around Lagos now as debates are on as to the sustenance of the YBNL and MAVINS brand...well, the result might come out lyrically or how about they meet surprisingly at an hang out...what do you think will happen when a slight joke is thrown as a sort of reminiscing over the drama between their 'daddies'...

Where are my Nollywood people...? It seems they have relaxed about their own PR moves and the music industry seems to be having one news everyday...Someone told me they are all making millions daily...that is why they have strength for publicity moves...There is a certain level your brand gets to, that requires you to be mannered in your approach and everyday relations with people...do not let yourself be fooled to a level of provocation...This is Nigeria and not Europe or America....I really cannot justify how publicity can be played out well over there because I have not been there...I am not sure If some personalities stood up to motivate Kanye West when he was throwing jibes at Taylor Swift...but the 'who cares' spirit simply drives some of our celebrities to stand up and encourage a childish act beaming live...

We should expect more drama this year..It is very certain as some people have launched the year that way...Let each respect another...If you are upset about something as a musician, simply write a song and sing about it maturely without mentioning a name and same goes for actors or movie producers...Our libraries need more literature books...that might help shape our society, you never can tell...

THE LAMATA ROAD TRANSFORMATION; GOOD INVESTMENT AMIDST UNCIVILIZED PASSENGERS...

Lagos is no doubt the center of excellence...but some people are still of the opinion that much still needs to be done in areas that need development very drastic...I have lived in Lagos all my life aside my secondary school education which took 6 years of my life in Ondo State but It was always a great feeling coming home for holidays...Traffic jam is a very serious problem in the metropolis or perhaps major road networks in the city and It is not good for our health but I must say, It helps me get the benefit of buying some snacks and drink while on the road...

The Lagos State Government is doing so much to make life easier and less stressful for Its citizens but a major problem to the growth of these infrastructures are the citizens of the state...We shout a lot about the maintenance culture but what about You and I...the end users, the one who talks like he knows it all..the one who nags like she can do it better...?

It was joy unlimited years ago when the National Union of Road Transport Workers together with the state government launched an alternative Bus Rapid Transport...Lagosians welcomed it like a new born child...birthed to bring convenience to the life of citizens...Today, the buses are just a shadow of themselves but the state agency, The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority(LAMATA) has gone ahead to bring a greater transformation to the road transportation within the city. This new air conditioned 45 seater bus is operating from Ikorodu to Tafawa Balewa Square on the Island with several terminal for other commuters along the route. There is also a space for the physically challenged, a 14 inch LCD Monitor and a digital text display...interestingly, It is a criminal offence to assault the bus driver...
Against all these fantastic set ups, Lagosians, educated and uneducated have decided to continually constitute a nuisance at some terminus daily...The officers in charge are doing their best in supervising arrival and boarding of these buses by passengers but It is now a joyous trend for queue to be jumped or simply display an act of thuggery just to get an access into the bus. These acts are very common around places like Ikorodu which has a large number of passengers residing on that route but there is no orderliness amongst the passengers in that zone.

Should we blame the government for providing an alternative to the road transport in Lagos...? Are we children that should be taught how to be orderly in public...? It may surprise you that some of these people have traveled out of their community or the country and they can testify to how organized the society is...What then is our problem...? Is it just who we are...? What does it take to respect every passenger who takes his time to be on a queue expecting to board a bus..?.Yes, the agency in charge surely have their limitations and they are very unpardonable...I am referring to the e-payment being used.
This e-payment option is very good but we have always being faced with a non-effective technology system in the country as well as proper data accountability...I purchased this card at the rate of 250 Naira and you can load any amount on it for easy commuting but you might just be surprised like an Halloween season when you might have waited on the queue, only to board a bus and you are told that you cannot tap in with your e-payment card because the device is not available right now...Now, they will not ask you to take a seat while they get the paper alternative for you to purchase, instead you will be asked to go purchase it yourself while passengers behind you get a privilege with their paper ticket since they do not have the e-payment option...Where exactly do we stand...? If the card cannot work, let us stick with the paper or simply put all necessary resources together and make it work...for good.
I do not know If much awareness campaign is done in sensitizing Lagosians on the proper use of the card option because we have stories of passengers who always fail to tap out after alighting from the bus, only to discover that all the card has been wiped off with a zero balance credit...Aside this great challenge, It is a bad feeling to be on queue for so long waiting for a bus like a miracle without proper communication of what exactly is delaying the bus...I do know that Lagosians are very impatient and that brings up a nagging spirit but the officers in charger should not flow in that manner and respond very disrespectfully....I am enjoying this bus because It is very comfortable for me, there is an air condition that relaxes the nerves after working for the day...but Lagosians should take proper caution in their attitude just because they have to board a bus...

NIGERIAN ACTOR, SAMUEL AJIBOLA - ''LIFE CAN NEVER BE BORING IF YOU GREW UP IN SURULERE''

As a little child, we must have been in that realm where our parents will casually ask us what we would like to be in future or even our teachers in school will randomly throw such questions at us in the course of our regular classes...However, It is important for a child to find his right path to being a successful person early enough but there are occasions when some parents frown at a particular course of life a child intends to pursue. For Samuel Ajibola, his story is completely interesting as he started acting at the age of 6.

If you follow the humorous television series, The Johnsons, then you must have encountered a character by name ''Spiff''' played out by young, funny and rising star, Samuel Ajibola. I was opportuned to have an interaction with him and narrated his journey into acting so far...This native of Ekiti State is actually a graduate of political science from the prestigious University of Lagos, famously noted for producing lots of showbiz personalities in Nollywood. He did not lay back and rode on being talented enough but he holds a Diploma in Acting from the Centre for Excellence in Film and Media Studies.

Samuel says ''I don't like to say I chose acting, I like to say acting chose me. Every time I remember the circumstances in which I started acting, It's evident that as a kid, I did not wish to be an actor, It just found me''. The power of encouragement surely went a long way in the life of little 6 year old Samuel who played out the famous biblical Samuel in a Church drama...the outcome led him to his first movie casting of Opa Williams for his movie, Tears for Love in 1995 and it has been a jolly good ride and he admits it as the only thing he wants do all the time.
It is expected for challenges to occur as a young child actor who is trying to develop against all odds; He had to repeat a class in secondary school because of his high demand back then and like typical Nigerian Parents, a break came in to his acting career in 2003 for the sake of his education and he returned in 2009 but surprisingly, the industry had changed...No one knew that young Samuel again, so many new great stars have been birthed...Samuel did not give up and so he decided to start from the bottom again, alas, he is even much more bigger now than he was as a child actor...

With his level of tenacity, spirit and determination to the best always, I had to ask if he has a way of correcting some ills in the industry if given the opportunity of leadership...Samuel is actually concerned about writing scripts to fit just the young adults, He claims that over 80% of Nollywood films today are about young couples or people within the age of 25 - 35, which gives little or no chance to something substantial getting to others. He says ''I want to see films that have kids or elderly people as the main characters all through''.
Samuel is one of those people who missed their childhood...He reminisced about the fame he had as a little boy growing up in Surulere, call it the entertainment city of Nigeria and you should not be wrong...Despite being the first born of four kids, which comes with some responsibilities, Samuel confesses he had the time of his life as a kid and life was never boring growing up in Surulere, Lagos. Being a native of Ekiti simply makes him a lover of Pounded yam but that is not his only love...He plays the Piano, Recorder and Drums...simply a lover of music.

Take no offence but Samuel confidently calls himself a perfectionist, overly focused, ambitious and committed to work which all drives his passion for acting as reflected in every character he plays on the screen. This is one individual who continually strives to be the best, never satisfied with the second position and that means distractions do not have their way in his quest for being the first always...He adds ''I like to go where people cannot go, I like to do things people find difficult''.
Do not feel disappointed if Samuel does not have one of your favorite A-List Actors as a mentor...a feeling that can be drawn from his style of training and his perfectionist nature makes him look up to the very best in the business and certainly, Hollywood comes to mind in that regard; the likes of black Actor Denzel Washington, 66 year old Actress Meryl Streep, English actor Daniel Day-Lewis and Top rated Actor Johnny Depp. A constant feeling of joy and fulfillment Samuel does have everyday is the massive positive feedback he gets for playing the character ''Spiff'''. Do you also know Samuel is an award winner for best actor in a short film at the 2015 InShort Film Festival, He also recounts the death of prolific film maker, Amaka Igwe as his worst moment in the industry.

Samuel Ajibola wants to be known as the Actor who can perfectly interpret characters...as he loves to give different characterization to each character being played and that involves a lot of commitment...does he have time to relax and catch some fun...? Yes..but He is mostly indoors watching some good films and with some food to go with...
Being on The Johnsons has opened lots of doors for Samuel, He is currently on 4th season with the television series and more opportunities are coming this year and will embark on them after filming with The Johnsons ends by January 2016

NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, AARON SUNDAY HITS THE GYM FOR A TELEVISION SERIES...

The life of an actor evolves not just around signing autographs, granting interviews and going for exotic vacations but keeping fit must be a routine for every actor...the question is how many actors do have such a routine in their schedule...? We have seen quite a few posting images and videos of their session at the gym online but when you check out the level of fat glowing on our television set around the industry...the government might just need to drive each and everyone of them to the fitness room...

For Nigerian Actor, Aaron Sunday, fitness has always been on his menu as one of his routines...and It might not mean a thing to some of us but It is a big deal when you have been selected for a particular role that actually involves you appearing on camera in a certain way...Aaron takes every role very seriously and that is why producers and directors love working with him, especially on unique productions.
Aaron Sunday is part of the cast on the Television Series, Road to Stardom and will be acting alongside Adeniyi Johnson, Yvonne Adeshina, Amaka and Chima Precious. Aaron will be playing sub lead called Edet who is a Physiotherapist, this role involves a lot of preparation as an actor and so Aaron is leaving no stone unturned as lots of research work is going underground and the time out at the gym is certainly important as he has to look the part convincingly...This graduate of Theatre Arts describes the role as a refreshing character and believes any actor would jump at such an opportunity.

This is the fourth season of the series...proudly produced Hadunni Oluwawa, written by Jovi Babs who has come up with an amazing story line this season...and will be directed by Afolabi Wilfred...Aaron decided to hit the gym because the producers want him to add more muscles which will also involve him showing a bit of skin while on set for the series. This is an exciting time in his career because the role of a Physiotherapist is the first of its kind on his table...and it comes with playing a double personae of a good and bad guy with some suave while on the job...

BEYONCE AIMS FOR AN OSCAR ACADEMY AWARD...

The brand Beyonce has virtually done it all..obviously one of the most powerful women in the world but her music career has been outstanding over the years...she will not stop until she gets an Oscar as she writes and stars in new film...She is not new to acting as she has featured in top productions such as Dream Girls and Obsessed but with her latest interest in playing a South African slave, she is set to go way up and grab an Oscar...Definitely not a child's play but as usual. Queen Bey is not taking chances and so she has recruited a team of acting coaches and writers to help bring the story to the big screen.

The biopic or movie is based on the troubled life of Saartjie Baartman, A South African woman enslaved in a London ''Freak shows'' in the 19th century on account of her large bottom. Her life serves as a reminder of degradation, exploitation and violence placed on black women's bodies throughout history...The question is...Will Queen Bey be able to deliver and perhaps surpass her previous efforts in the past...?

GOD STILL WINNING FOR KOREDE BELLO AS HE VISITS EMIR OF KANO.

Award Winning Pop Artiste, Korede Bello has taken his career to another level by extending his music into the palace of the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi...I am not sure if he did perform his hit track, God Win before his royal majesty but am sure the very young ones in the palace must have been excited seeing Korede....that is if his name or music rings a bell across that zone.
I don get alert God Win...I am certain he will not leave the palace empty handed...Lets simply call it a PR thing or a-well-done-son kind of gesture...he recently shared pictures of visit on Instagram and I must say the Palace looks cool...Now, that the Emir has endorsed him...Perhaps, we can expect more Northern trips and as usual, this is when some other celebrities will remember that they have a village head somewhere in Nigeria...

POST HEADIES 2015; AN OVERRATED MUSIC INDUSTRY...?

The Headies is over...Hyundai gets more famous, even Nollywood Actor, Deyemi Okanlawon produced a personal skit commercial for the brand, some people got engaged, baby bumps, Denrele's awkward dance moves and many more...Olamide has apologized but again, Is this Music industry really what it looks like. The sky is big enough for everyone is an everyday slogan used by all but this industry seems overrated from the look of things...

Several analyses have been made regarding this feud...If Lil Kesh was that huge in the year under review, how come his label couldn't provide him a car...and the same logic applies to Korede Bello and Ricardo...It seems their bosses are doing well financially if they can boast about providing for their children on live television...why the outburst about a car and like a friend will say, awards do not really validate the success of an artiste.

What really defines a successful act in Nigeria...? We cannot really point a finger at our own Grammy Awards...So many awards come along with a tag price and the media feeds on that and start hyping a one tracker artiste who suddenly becomes a star overnight...and leave aside those genuine and gifted talent who do not have some money to throw around...How about endorsement deals...What is the real deal behind these deals because It seems like the brands are the ones doing the so called artistes a favor...the artiste should be the one doing the brands a favor, therefore, what they see is what they get...

How many people really purchase musical discs of these artistes in the age of online and several download options...I would not want to put everybody in the same wagon and ridicule their career but really, Is the music market moving business in Nigeria...the cars, houses, trips, wardrobe and all that flashy life, Is it all about these music...? Then, that drama was unnecessary.

It seems like everyone is just doing their thing...No control or regulations...Money is the order of the day and that alone controls the hype level...and the media watchdog has already been bought over...So you see situations where a new artiste today is regarded as a superstar musician...our adjectives are wrongly used...Di'Ja for instance is simply an upcoming act and not a superstar...when the wrong adjectives are used, ego is being fed and you know what happens after...

On a lighter note, that controversial award should have simply gone to Kiss Daniel...Woju...It was a recording with a contemporary tone of how love plays...everybody was singing...It was easy breezy to flow with...We are also waiting for an apology from Don Jazzy.

GALA'S GREAT STEP TO SURVIVAL IN THE MARKET...

'After the reggae, play the blues...share the Gala share the booze....Sing it loud and let the nation roar for Harry Song as he is the first ever brand ambassador of this product that I must have been consuming before I was born...judging from the fact that my mother started eating it before me...sounds cool to me but it simply drew my mind to something...Could this a situation where the Gala brand managers had to fight hard to get Harry Song because Gala has so many competitors in the market now and 'Share the Gala' fiesta was just the icing on the cake to push this highly consumed product back into the consciousness of the society...A boo A boo...

My mind traveled into another realm of thought...or..This song might have been initially written as an examination for Harry Song and the brand executives were waiting to see how popular this song would be before accepting Harry Song into the family...But whatever...This is a message to all Nigerian Artistes who feel their creativity isn't paying off..do you know how many brands float around this country...? What is Tecno even doing with his time in the studio..?

I must say this is a big year for Harry and the Gala but without the booze...I am not sure that is a good combination, however, Everybody wanna groove, they groove, they groove...I can imagine the number cartons of Gala in his house now...and such deals run through a year of supply. Do I see other competitive brands delving into similar strategies...? Perhaps Yes or they might just flip the script in a surprising way. Congrats to gala because there is an pfficial anthem now for all the Gala Vendors in the streets of Lagos...enjoy yourself baby boo...

THE HEADIES - DRAMA, GOOFS AND THE IRRELEVANCES...

Just before I slept last night, I decided to flip through some channels on the television and I stumbled into the Headies...which we know as The Hip Hop World Awards back then and I decided to stay glued and see how interesting it would be....Honestly, I was disappointed from the start, perhaps, I t would have been better if I was bored...I asked myself...Was that the Kaffy dancing or wait a minute...Is this a rehearsal for the main show but again, I had to look very well that It is a live show. Now, let me start my strokes from Kaffy; She needs to go back to a work plan, a drawing board, a school or something...my eyes had enough view of uncoordinated routines...I do respect and appreciate her contributions over the years but please....

The next on my list is Mister Okechukwu Ukeje who came out to present an award alongside newly wedded Lillian Esorona Franklin...He went lame by dropping the cliche script of seeking Ubi's permission to kiss his wife in films...I do not know if these award presenters are guided on what to say, when to say and how to say...We all watch International music and movie awards...that was lame for me and the camera close up shot on Ubi did not seem friendly at all...

The eccentric and crazy Denrele did not get my pass...What exactly happened to him or Niyola did not just fit into his element of show biz 'madness'...His drama was quite excessive and perhaps he needs to really flip his script as a comedian.

When you think some celebrities would behave...they just flip the script. Congrats to Korede Bello for his Best Pop single win for the song 'GodWin' but why on earth should Dr Sid join him on stage if he was not invited...Yes, he is family but that was a moment for that little chap and you just stood right behind him there as what...well, the camera saw you and thanks for coming and whispering into ears for a mention...

For a 10th edition of a notable brand like this, I must believe that proper production plan went into how the stage and winners would be managed in the course of transmission but behold, it seemed messy...celebrities were moving emerging from various points to the stage...When i actually taught Vector was not around to receive his award...and here he was showing on stage from no where. Olamide and his crew also came from several angles..the camera was on Lil Kesh for a long while following him to the stage and I taught Olamide was busy somewhere or even absent until he emerged from another angle...what happened to sitting close to each other...

I would stay mute on the Olamide Don Jazzy matter because Its just another PR stunt...there are several modes of seeking attention among celebs in Nigeria and I do hope they get what they are looking for...Don Jazzy is a father of many children and Is this the legacy you want little Korede to follow because Dr Sid will surely follow, so will Di Ja and Madam Tiwa and Mr. Olamide is a father biologically and musically too...Get into the studio and transmit your beefs into songs for us to dance to and learn from.

I must congratulate Timi Dakolo for his effort on Wish me well which earned him two awards...Olamide actually actually deserved the artiste of the year but was 'Ojuelegba' actually a song of the year, I guess the organizers know better...and they also know better I guess by giving Aramide the female vocal performance over Simi...but thank you for the Hall of Fame to Africa's Biggest music export, Tuface 'Tubaba' Idibia, It is a great honouring that humble icon while alive, active and relevant...away from that, I am sure some people were not forced to get a sit at the events because boredom was written all over some faces. Bryan Bryan Okwara...that style did not just click right in my head...you want attention I get it but It was just awkward for me seeing you in that.

Well, I believe the awards has truly leaved by Its theme- Flip the Script...Watch out for so many flipped script in the industry; friends will be flipped, lyrics will be flipped and so on but as usual...the social media will always be there waiting to help them script their flip mode...

REMINISCING INTO 2015...

If there was a court for suing irregular blogging, I would be found guilty and there is nothing the jury, presiding judge or even my attorney can do to save me...I actually enjoy writing and blogging but i slowed down completely last year...I would not want to sulk about the challenges involved but rather pick up myself and get started again...for the better this time. 2015...What a year! I believe a lot of people from my part of the world would indulge a lot of their New Year's Eve with God praying for a better year...economically.

I am not here to give the principles of an ideal economy or predict what the economy would be like for Nigerians, Africa and the entire world but let you feel how beautiful life can be...If for anything, I have not been sacked from work but rather I have been promoted and It comes with more commitment to the job...The key to the success at my career in 2015 was 'TEAM WORK'...I have the best of colleagues who critique constructively and are always ready to help and the joy comes when we all sit down together and consume lots of fried or roasted yam with kpomo, noodles, spirits, which I do not drink often as my 'liver' to consume is nothing compared to others.

2015 would be in record for the successful completion of my degree programme in Mass Communication...It is from an institution that has a controversial image but I will be a fool to say that I was not given the best of lectures from a Nigerian University...I am proud to say that It was worth my time studying Mass Communication at the Lagos State University...Going to school is just a foundation but who you become on the outside world is based on the effective utilization of what you were taught...The likes of Music Icon, Tuface Idibia, Supermodel, Oluchi, Football Star, Austin Okocha and many more did not go to Harvard but look at who they are today....

I had good and bad relationships with people in 2015 but each one had a lesson to be learnt...interestingly, the more you understand people, the better your relationship with them and everything still points back at you...Who am I?...How well do I understand myself...?  The more you crosscheck and respect yourself, the better your level of perception by the society...I cannot take away my fun moments in 2015...I appreciate the Nollywood industry and am actually referring to those who are committed to producing and directing quality films...I did not regret spending my time and money viewing some films at the cinema; from Out of Luck, A Soldier's Story, Taxi Driver to Gbomo Gbomo...but please pop corns are too expensive at Nigerian Cinemas in Lagos...Its just corn and freaking sugar or salt...

2015 had me busy with lots of Television Series; Empire, How to Get Away with Murder, Orange is the New Black, Scandals, Game of Thrones...I do not need to open a chapter on what makes these series interesting and captivating...some people say they are overrated but I care less...Me love Me series any day anytime...and for personalities in the music scene within Nigeria, I must give credit to Olamide and Yemi Alade as they are my Artiste of the year 2015...I do not need to check their bank details for profit but their level of productivity and music consciousness across the continent of Africa was overwhelming...

I can go on forever but I am thankful, grateful, blessed for the year 2015...many passed on during the year and even before the New Year..I lost a friend at the very close of the year...I am not better of but such is life and we must embrace the reality that death can struck at any time and so let me restate my thoughts I used on Facebook again..I will admonish us not to make resolutions but commence this new year with an open mind guided by prayer and commitment to a vision...now, your vision can be your career, making a family or even be more responsible to yourself....find yourself this year and be a better you...
